Brazilian Butt Lift with Fat Transfer
Today, patients increasingly prefer the Brazilian butt lift cosmetic surgery with fat transfer technique as it involves tiny incisions and creates more natural looking and sustainable results.
The surgeon will explain the steps involved in the Brazilian butt lift procedure to the patient at the time of the pre-op consultation process.
Anesthesia
Some surgeons undertake Brazilian butt lift surgery with the patient under general anesthesia. However, sometimes the surgeon may use local anesthesia with intravenous (IV) sedation.
Upon being brought into the operating room, the patient will receive anesthesia before the Brazilian butt lift surgery commences.
An anesthesiologist or a registered nurse anesthetist will put the patient under general anesthesia. They will usually remain in attendance during the procedure to monitor the patient’s reaction to the anesthetic. The patient will remain unconscious during the butt augmentation plastic surgery and will not experience discomfort.
Fat Removal from Donor Areas
Once the patient is asleep under anesthesia, the surgeon will perform the initial step in the Brazilian butt lift process, which involves the elimination of excess fat from the abdomen and other areas such as the flanks or thighs via liposuction. They will insert a thin cannula into the deeper fat tissue layers through these small incisions.
The surgeon will then gently move the cannula back and forth to break down the excess fatty tissue. After this, they will use a pump or syringe connected to the outer end of the cannula to suction out the excess fat cells. This process involves the removal of nearly three to four times the fat needed for transfer to the buttock area.
The surgeon will source this fat from one or more donor areas to ensure that there is an adequate supply of purified fat for the Brazilian butt lift procedure.
Fat Purification Process
Once the surgeon extracts the fat from the donor sites, these fat cells will be processed in a centrifuge to separate the purified fat. This is an automated process to ensure that the fat is not contaminated in any manner.
In today’s times, the developments in technology enable the maximum quantity of fat to be used for effective fat transfer making the results of the procedure more sustainable. The fat that has been purified will be stored in sterile conditions until the surgeon is ready to transfer in the butt area through an injectable procedure.
Fat Transfer
The surgeon will utilize only the best tissue for injecting into the buttock area using narrow cannulas at multiple depths to make sure that the outcomes appear and feel natural.
The fat transfer technique and the butt augmentation goals of the patient will determine the number, depth, and amount of fat injections.
