CO2 Laser Resurfacing

Fractional CO2 laser resurfacing on the Alma platform treats the skin at depth, removing damaged surface layers while stimulating collagen in the tissue below. Because the laser is fractionated, it treats microscopic columns of skin and leaves surrounding tissue intact, which shortens healing compared with fully ablative resurfacing. The treatment addresses acne scarring, uneven texture, sun damage, pigmentation, and fine lines. Settings are adjusted to the concern and the patient’s tolerance for downtime, which typically runs five to seven days of peeling and redness.
